Firstly, let me welcome you to my site. As you have probably guessed by now - I've kept it fairly simple. There are two reasons for this - firstly, I believe that the simpler a website the more effective it is and that an effective use of text is the best way to design a multi platform site. Secondly, I'm no artist!

I live in Essex and work for Ford Motor Company IT. As such I have technical IT background ranging over experience with PERL, Crystal Reports, Oracle, Dreamweaver, VB, Unix (Solaris & HP), NT and Windows 2000. My previous roles have included our project office supporting the rollout of SDM - Ford's Solution Delivery Methodology and as a Team Leader of a 20 strong development area running Mainframe, Web and Client/Server apps. My current role is as a Project Manager within our European Program Management Office. This gives me IT responsibility for large key enterprise level projects, such as a vehicle pricing development and a payroll replacement.

Professionally, my degree is from the University of Warwick, I've gained British Computer Society MBCS CITP status and just recently qualified as a Project Management Institute "Project Management Professional".

My hobbies include various IT projects, including a website I run for my wife, www.sophiebear.co.uk. I'm also proud to say that I've now been a father for just over a year!

At home I like cooking. Both Christine and I enjoy shopping. I enjoy driving and as such am a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
